Corbin Schools Host Veterans Day Programs

Corbin Schools celebrated Veterans Day, November 11, 2015.

Each school held a special program to recognize the sacrifice of our local veterans. Corbin High School, Corbin Intermediate School, Corbin Middle School, and Corbin Elementary held assemblies for their students. Colonel Mike Farley spoke to Corbin High School and Corbin Elementary School Students, Bob Terrell spoke to Corbin Middle School students, and Colonel Arley Longworth spoke to Corbin Intermediate School students. They shared their personal experiences as well as the meaning of Veterans Day. Local veterans were invited to attend the assemblies.
Corbin Primary School hosted their annual veterans breakfast and parade. Students were able to invite veterans to the school. The students got the opportunity to perform for the veterans and have breakfast with them. Following breakfast, the students lined the halls and cheered for the veterans as they walked through. Nearly 200 veterans and their families were in attendance. Corbin Primary would like to thank Representative Regina Bunch for donating flags for each student to wave during the parade.

Corbin High School JROTC students attended each of the ceremonies. Corbin Schools host veterans for a special assemblies each year.
